MICHAEL COHEN

As an investment banker, Michael Cohen has represented world class entrepreneurs including aerospace pioneer Burt Rutan, Founder and CEO of Scaled Composites, which was acquired by Northrop Grumman and sustainability leader Dr. Malcolm Lewis, Founder and CEO of Constructive Technologies Group, which was acquired by Cadmus Group. In addition, he has advised such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett Packard, and General Electric on strategic mergers and acquisitions and he has closed over 40 major corporate equity transactions for buyers and sellers.

Michael brings to his clients unique insights from his background with both financial and strategic buyers and applies them for the benefit of private company buyers and sellers. At Honeywell International, he doubled the aerospace and defense revenue growth rate by leading strategic Mergers & Acquisitions. As an equity capital investor, he generated over 22% IRR (internal rate of return) for Norwest Equity Partners and 3i Capital*. In operations, Michael led engineering development at General Electric Aerospace and at Kulicke & Soffa, a leading supplier of capital equipment to the semiconductor industry.

Michael’s personal interests include travel, bike riding, hiking, building and flying remote control aircraft, drones, and helicopters, playing chess, tennis, rollerblading, and supporting charitable causes especially those benefiting children.

Michael earned an M.S.E.E. from Drexel Univ. and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and he is licensed (series 7, 79, 63) by FINRA as a General Securities Representative of Hamilton Grant and as a Salesperson by the CA Department of Real Estate.

MICHAEL DeNIO

As a Managing Director with over twenty years of involvement in global markets, Michael E. DeNio brings diverse knowledge of the financial industry to Impact. Residing in Texas, Michael contributes experience financing transactions, a geographically vast network, and deal origination on a global basis over a wide range of sectors, including technology, energy, financial services, real estate, healthcare, automotive, defense, transportation and infrastructure.

Preceding Impact, Michael was Managing Director at Chatsworth Securities, an investment banking firm specializing in advisory services and capital raises. Prior to Chatsworth, Michael was President and a founding partner of Transcend Capital, a financial services firm headquartered in Austin, Texas. During his tenure of fourteen years, the firm grew, organically and by acquisition, from a single office to a firm with branch offices and representatives throughout the United States. Transcend provided international trade execution, prime brokerage services, sales trading, and a suite of technology related services for the equity, derivatives and fixed income markets to a varied client base of hedge funds, banks, brokerage firms, mutual funds, family offices, investment advisors and retail investors. Transcend retained established clientele in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Australia and the Middle East along with other countries.

Before, and in conjunction with Transcend, Michael was the founder and managing member of Texas Capital Management, a Dallas, Texas based hedge fund and trading firm. The firm was active for twelve years and primarily employed a long/short equity strategy with a market neutral bias.

Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons in the great outdoors, especially on their family’s ranches in California and Texas. Additionally, he supports and volunteers for several charitable organizations and causes. Michael is also a fervent supporter of his alma mater, Texas A&M University.

JEGEN HAIRSTON

Jegen Hairston is the Marketing and Project Manager at Impact Capital Group, where she leads strategic marketing initiatives and oversees project execution to drive growth and efficiency. With a strong background in operations and asset management, she brings exceptional planning, problem-solving, and organizational expertise to her role.

Previously, Jegen managed asset operations for 3MC properties, where she specialized in property management, construction oversight, and driving property-level NOI. Her experience as an Operations Manager in the high-touch serviced office industry honed her ability to manage complex projects with a meticulous attention to detail.

At Impact Capital Group, Jegen is committed to aligning marketing strategies with investment goals, optimizing project workflows, and contributing to the firm’s continued success.

 

PATRICK McCORMICK

Patrick McCormick founded MPP Associates, a management consulting organization in January 2000, to build and revitalize technology-forward, domestic, and international manufacturers, distributors, and service organizations.

As a C-level executive, Patrick has positioned organizations for sale achieving favorable returns to investors and owners. Patrick brings experience in diverse sectors including medical device manufacturing, high technology, heavy and precision aerospace manufacturing, distribution, high- performance sporting goods, real estate, financial services, and agriculture.

Patrick has assisted entrepreneurs in developing forward-looking business strategies, tactics, accurate financial information, and operating metrics to be used in valuation estimates and forward-looking projections.

Patrick developed financial systems for Colony Advisors, Inc., a billion dollar real estate holding company, and Di-Tech Funding, commercial and personal lending, and ERP systems for Grimmway Farms, the largest producer of carrots worldwide, V-8 Juice, and related agricultural products, Power Partners, producers of 50% the transformers for our nations electrical grid, after a Westinghouse divestiture, and Econolite, traffic light and speed camera sensing systems manufactured in Anaheim, CA., Mexico and Canada.

Patrick is a member of the board of directors of the Love Like Aly™ Wellness Center, he was a past chairman of the Tech Coast Venture Network, and a recent member of the Executive Committee, Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc.

Patrick served as a Naval Officer in the US Pacific Fleet.

Patrick graduated from the University of Southern California, MBA (Finance and Economics) and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

 

KRISTOPHER PRAKASH

Prior to serving companies as a trusted M&A advisor, Kris held positions of CFO and COO with a number of emerging technology and healthcare businesses. Preceding that, Kris operated a Management Services Organization in the healthcare industry, focusing on the formation and management of out-patient clinics and long-term care facilities. Before the MSO, Kris was an analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and an associate at Deloitte Tax, LLP.

AMY TZAGOURNIS

Prior to making the transition into finance about a decade ago, Amy spent the early part of her career as a health and wellness professional. After spending a brief stint in Private Equity, Amy redirected her energy to working with Founders and Entrepreneurs looking for capital and liquidity solutions. Her passion to find creative alternatives and to prioritize the clients’ goals is what brought her to Impact Capital. Previously, Amy was at Los Angeles-based investment bank, CriticalPoint Partners, where she focused on both Buy-side and Sell-side M&A transactions across a number of industries.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family in the South Bay, music and performing arts, ocean swimming (sometimes dabbling in triathlons) and visiting craft breweries.

REBECCA COHEN

Rebecca has a broad range of experience within industries such as retail, tech, and professional services. Her diverse background has helped her to gain an intense understanding of how to structure deals that meet owners’ strategic long-term objectives.

Prior to joining Impact, she supported her family’s real estate business and a large financial services company working with franchise owners providing end to end marketing support.

Rebecca’s experience in corporate America has taught her how to work with a variety of stakeholders – enabling all parties to find common ground, increasing the likelihood of positive outcomes for clients of Impact Capital.

Outside of work she enjoys traveling, ice skating, spending time with her family.
